Availability of items:

The many variations of products available do mean that on occasion some items will not be available for immediate despatch.

You may wish to contact us prior to ordering to check the actual availability of an item.

Please note that Village Saddlery website is not a stock controlled system, If on receipt of an order a certain specification of item is not available the customer will be contacted to discuss the delivery time and at this point the customer could request to cancel the order.  All monies paid at this point will be refunded.

Whilst we will also aim to deliver items within a 5 day period, with some items this may not be possible.

Please note that timescales for delivery and delivery charges will vary depending on the availability of the Goods and your address.

Any item or service can be withdrawn at any point.

Items purchased on line can not be fitted by Village Saddlery.  If you require a saddle to be fitted it must be done via the normal Saddle Fitting Service that we offer.


Delivery of the Goods

Whilst we will also aim to deliver items within a 5 day period, with some items this may not be possible

We will contact you with an estimated delivery date if we believe delivery may be delayed beyond normal delivery times.

Occasionally Our delivery to you may be affected by an Event Outside Our Control.

Return of Goods

Items purchased from the website can be returned within 14 days of delivery.  This excludes any special ordered, made to measure items or sale items.

Items must be returned: In the original packaging, with tags attached, in as new condition.

Please note any items returned that are not as described above or are soiled or damaged in any way will not be eligible for a refund. This includes if any leather item has been oiled or balmed.

Certain items ie numnahs in particular will not be accepted if they have horse hair on them.

Please email us within 5 days of receipt to advise us that the item is to be returned.

Any postage charged for delivery will not be refunded and return postage, together with appropriate postage insurance must be paid for by the customer, this will not be refunded. The item remains the responsibility of the customer until signed for as received by Village Saddlery.

If the Goods are faulty

As a consumer, you have legal rights in relation to Goods that are faulty or not as described. Advice about your legal rights is available from your local Citizens’ Advice Bureau or Trading Standards office. Nothing in these Terms will affect those legal rights.

If the Goods are second hand, they may have already been used and may be of lesser quality than brand new or made-to-measure Goods.

During the lifetime of a horse, its shape will change a number of times which means that Goods that fit a horse on delivery may not continue to fit that horse for any specific period of time.

Price & Payment of Goods

The price of the Goods and/or Services will be set out on our website. Our prices are subject to change at any time.

These prices include VAT at the current rate.

The prices for the Goods exclude delivery costs, which will be added to the total amount due.

It is always possible that, despite Our best efforts, some of the Goods We sell may be incorrectly priced. This would be checked as part of Our despatch procedures so that, where the Goods’ correct price is less than Our stated price, we will contact you to tell you and wait for your instructions.

We do not have to provide the Goods to you at the incorrect (lower) price.

Payment must be made at the time of purchase.

Postage & Packaging

Postage will be charged per items based on size and weight combined. We aim to deliver items within 5 days of order. This can not be guaranteed.

We have 4 postal sizes:

Standard small – £8.50 per item

Standard medium – £10.00 per item

Standard large – £18.00 per item

Standard Saddle – £25.00 per saddle.

Items can only be sent to the UK.  Please contact us directly to request postage cost for other locations

Damaged or Missing Items in delivery

Please ensure that on receipt of items that they are checked fully. Any missing or damaged items must be reported by email to us within 3 working days, otherwise claims will not be considered.

Sale, Ex Demo or End of Line items

When an item is sold as a Sale, Ex Demo or End of line item it may show signs of storage or have been trialled at a saddle fitting appointment. These items may not be the most current model of the item and may have been manufactured in previous years.
